Terms and Conditions - Launchup

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 17 October 2026

The short version

Our free calculator and guides give general information, not financial advice. Use your own judgement and check big decisions with a licensed adviser, Services Australia and the provider. If you buy the Retirement Pathway Planner, you get a private online planner and an Excel version for your own personal use. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law always apply, and nothing in these terms takes them away.

1. Who we are

This website, launchup.com.au, is run by Ink4Less Pty Ltd ABN 51 110 577 565, trading as Launchup (“we”, “us”, “our”). In these terms, “you” means anyone who uses the website or buys from us.

You can contact us at support@launchup.com.au.

2. Using these terms

By using this website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies from the date shown above. If you buy something, the terms in place on the day you buy apply to that purchase.

If you use the website on behalf of someone else, such as a parent, you confirm you have their permission to do so.

3. Our information is general, not advice

Our Retirement Pathway Calculator, the Retirement Pathway Planner, our guides, emails and Question Sheets give general information only. They are not financial, legal, tax or Centrelink advice, and they don’t take your personal circumstances, goals or needs into account.

  • Results are estimates based on the figures you enter and on assumptions such as growth rates, fees and returns. Real outcomes will differ.
  • Age Pension, deeming and Rent Assistance figures use published Services Australia rates and rules. They are not a Centrelink decision. Only Services Australia can tell you what you’ll actually receive.
  • Rates and rules change, usually each March and September. We aim to keep them up to date but can’t promise every figure is current at all times.
  • Fees, contracts and exit terms vary between providers. Always check the details with the provider, and get independent legal advice before you sign a contract.
  • Before making a decision about your home, your money or your pension, we recommend speaking with a licensed financial adviser. Services Australia’s free Financial Information Service can also help.

We are not a financial adviser, real estate agent, retirement village, land lease community or aged care provider. We don’t sell property and we don’t take commissions from operators.

4. The free calculator

The calculator is free to use, and you don’t need to give us any personal details to see your results. If you ask us to email your results and Question Sheet, we’ll use your email address to send them. We’ll only send you other emails, such as tips and guides, if you tick the box to say yes. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Please don’t enter information that identifies you or anyone else into the calculator’s number boxes.

5. Buying the Retirement Pathway Planner

What you get

The Retirement Pathway Planner is an online planning tool, plus a downloadable Excel version. It estimates your Age Pension and Rent Assistance, fees and how long your money could last for each option. It also compares up to three places you’re looking at, builds a list of questions to ask, and prints a summary to take to your meetings. You can change your figures and come back to it as often as you like.

The online planner works in a web browser on phones, tablets and computers. The Excel version works best in Microsoft Excel. It can usually be opened in Apple Numbers or Google Sheets, although some features may look or work differently.

Price and payment

The price is shown on the website before you buy, in Australian dollars, and includes GST where applicable. It’s a one-off payment, with no subscription. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

From time to time we may offer an introductory or promotional price. Where we do, we’ll say so on the website.

Access

After you pay, we email you a private link to your planner. It works on up to 2 of your devices, such as your phone and your computer. If you change devices, email us and we’ll reset it. Please keep the email so you can find your link again.

Your figures are saved in the browser on your own device, not on our website. Use “Save my plan” to keep a copy you can open on your other device, or if your browser data is ever cleared.

Your licence to use it

The Planner is licensed to you, not sold. You may use it for your own personal use, and to help a family member with their own decision. The Excel version you download from your planner carries your name and email address. You must not share your private link, resell, publish or copy the Planner for others, remove the protection from the spreadsheet, or try to extract its formulas.

Rates

The planner shows the date its Age Pension and Rent Assistance rates were checked. When we update them, your online planner uses the new rates the next time you open it. A downloaded Excel copy keeps the rates in force when you downloaded it.

6. Refunds and your consumer rights

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If the Planner doesn’t work as described, has a major fault, or isn’t what we said it would be, contact us at support@launchup.com.au. We’ll fix it, send you a working copy, or refund you.

14-day money-back promise: if the Planner isn’t useful to you, email support@launchup.com.au within 14 days of buying and we’ll refund what you paid, even if you’ve simply changed your mind. This promise is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and doesn’t limit them.

7. Support Coordination

We also provide Support Coordination in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. It is provided under a separate written Service Agreement, which you’ll receive before the service begins. If anything in that Service Agreement differs from these terms, the Service Agreement applies to that service.

8. Using the website fairly

When you use the website, you must not:

  • break the law, or give us false or misleading information;
  • try to copy, scrape or reverse-engineer the calculator, its results or its calculations;
  • interfere with the website’s security or operation, or send viruses or spam; or
  • pretend to be someone else, or suggest you are connected to us when you aren’t.

We may suspend access to the website, or any part of it, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

9. Our content and intellectual property

We own, or are licensed to use, everything on this website, including the calculator, the Planner, its formulas and design, our guides, Question Sheets, text, images and logos. You may print or save pages and your own results for your personal use. Otherwise, you must not copy, reproduce, adapt or publish our content without our written permission.

10. Links to other websites

We link to other websites, such as Services Australia, the ATO and My Aged Care, for your convenience. We don’t control those websites and aren’t responsible for their content.

11. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law that can’t be excluded.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:

  • we provide the website and our free tools “as is”, and don’t promise they’ll always be available, error-free or suit your particular needs;
  • we aren’t responsible for decisions you make, or losses you suffer, from relying on general information or estimates from the website, the calculator or the Planner, rather than getting advice about your own situation;
  • we aren’t responsible for the products, services, fees or contracts of any third party, such as an operator, agent or adviser; and
  • where our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the product again, or refunding what you paid for it.

12. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, and how you can access or correct it.

13. General

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the courts of New South Wales. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
