LaunchUP (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what personal information we collect through launchup.com.au and our tools — including the Retirement Pathway Wizard and the Retirement Pathway Dashboard spreadsheet — how we use it, and your rights.
1. What we collect
General enquiries: if you contact us through a form on our site, we collect what you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
The Retirement Pathway Wizard: using the calculator itself doesn’t require any personal information. The financial figures you enter (home value, savings, superannuation, income, and so on) stay in your web browser and are never sent to us — unless you choose to click “Email my results,” in which case we receive your email address, the figures and results you generated, which state or territory you’re in, and whether you indicated the enquiry was for yourself or for a parent or family member.
Marketing consent: if you tick the optional box to receive occasional retirement and downsizing tips by email, we record that consent separately from your results request. You can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
NDIS Support Coordination and related enquiries: if you contact us about NDIS Support Coordination, Home Care & Aids, or similar services, you may provide information about a disability, health condition or support needs. This is “sensitive information” under the Privacy Act, and we only collect it with your consent and where reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry or provide the service.
Purchases: if you buy the Retirement Pathway Dashboard spreadsheet, payment is processed by our third-party payment provider [Stripe]. We do not see or store your full card details.
Website usage data: like most websites, we automatically collect non-identifying information such as IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, using tools including Google Analytics. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve it.
2. How we use your information

- To send you the free results you’ve requested from the Retirement Pathway Wizard
- To send you the digital product you’ve purchased
- With your consent, to send you occasional marketing communications about our services
- To improve our website and services
- To meet our legal obligations
3. Automated tools and estimates
The Retirement Pathway Wizard and Retirement Pathway Dashboard use automated calculations to produce estimates of your Age Pension, Rent Assistance and other figures, based on the information you enter and current Services Australia rates. These are general estimates to help inform your own research and decisions — they are not a Centrelink determination, financial advice, or an automated decision that grants, denies or otherwise decides anything on our part. No decision about you is made by these tools; you remain free to act on the results, or not, entirely as you choose.
4. Who we share your information with
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run our business and website — including our hosting provider, our email/marketing platform (Zoho Campaigns, connected via Zapier), and our payment processor for purchases
- Regulatory or law enforcement bodies, where required by law
These providers are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us, not for their own purposes.
5. Sending information overseas
Some of the third-party services we use (including cloud hosting, analytics and email platforms) may store or process information on servers located outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
6. Data security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access. No method of online transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.
7. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it’s wrong, by contacting us at support@launchup.com.au. We won’t charge you for making this request and will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Making a complaint
If you believe we’ve mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at support@launchup.com.au so we can try to resolve it. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
9. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to support core functionality and analytics. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
10. Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we’ll remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, including to reflect changes in the law — for example, new transparency requirements around automated decision-making commencing under the Privacy Act on 10 December 2026. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
