Supports in Employment with NDIS
Are you someone with a disability who is looking for support in employment? LaunchUP can help connect you to the right people! In fact, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports people with disabilities to help them find and keep a job. This support is called “Supported Employment”. There are other additional supports available that you can also access through Disability Employment Services (DES) provided FREE to support both you and a potential employer. For more information on these services, we partner with trusted Job Service Providers.
Moreover, Supported Employment is where a person with a disability works in a job with the help of a support worker.
How Supported Employment Works
The support worker can help the person with tasks they find difficult, like communication, organisation or personal care. In addition, the support worker can also help the employer understand how to support the person with a disability best.
LaunchUP can help you connect with Supported Employment opportunities and access the right funding for your needs. They have a team of experts who can provide information and support on finding the right job for you.
How to access NDIS supports for employment
You must first be an NDIS participant. If you are not yet an NDIS participant, you can apply for the NDIS online or by calling the NDIS on 1800 800 110.
Remember, everyone deserves the chance to work and contribute to their community. With the help of LaunchUP and the NDIS, you can achieve your employment goals and thrive in the workplace!
